ERYN DACE TRUDELL
presents her world premiere of
“GRACE”
February 24-27, 2005
(February
1, 2005; Toronto, Ontario) – Eryn Dace Trudell's new full-length
work entitled Grace will premiere at the Winchester Street
Theatre on February 24-27, 2005.
Performed by local artists Megan Andrews,
Danielle Baskerville, Tanya Crowder, Jennifer Helland and Barbara Pallomina, Grace is a quintet choreographed by Eryn Dace Trudell in
memory of her late Aunt, Grace Mc Dace Barker.
A
tribute to her aunt Grace, who died too young from breast
cancer, this work honours her memory, her amazing spirit,
her engaging laugh, her generosity and her beauty.
Eryn has responded to the loss with a dance of rare
intimacy. Grace
is a dance about love and death; it is a bare, elegant and
peaceful observation of the human heart, portrayed in a
choreographic landscape of emotional depth and whimsical
playfulness.
Eryn
Dace Trudell, graduated with a BFA from Julliard. She has choreographed and presented many full-length productions
including Heliotrope, Slinky Trailers, My Private Venus,
Forced Horn and Mistress of Magic Sextet.
She has created three commissions for Dusk Dances: Real Wheels, Inertia, and Bizzy and Dizzy.
Eryn has performed, choreographed and acted as consultant
for theatre and opera including Doohnamow, Sheroes, The
Yoko Ono Project, Quartet, NoNoMiya, and The Anxiety of
Immortality. She
is a recipient of the Paula Citron Award for Best Choreography
with Rebecca Todd for Dendrite and for five years Eryn also
directed Damn Straight, a studio/performance venue, as Co-Artistic
Director.
